The Hollywood Amphitheater has its schedule for the 2024 season.

Since the LA Phil took over Ford’s lineup, the Hollywood Bowl’s little brother has become a welcome bonus for Bowl season. And again, after watching the show that just premiered, this is surely the case at the Hollywood Hills amphitheater.

For the 2024 season, which runs from mid-July through Halloween, you’ll be able to see sets from Guster (with support from the LA Phil), Airborne Toxic Event, Jose Feliciano, Devendra Banhart, and Bonny Light Horseman; hang out with Vibe Check hosts, keep an eye out for a live episode of Song Exploder on Magnetic Fields’ 69 Love Songs, and watch Alan Cumming and NPR host Ari Shapiro launch a new cabaret show; and catch a series of Studio Ghibli screenings, including Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, as well as two street cinema occasions for The Shining and Young Frankenstein.

Tickets are on sale now for packages of 3 or more events; Single-price tickets will go on sale May 14 at 10 a. m. m. For the 3 L. A. Soundscapes Children’s Shows, the full-price ticket includes up to two single tickets at child price.

If you’ve never noticed a display at the Ford before, here’s a quick recap: The open-air theater, which is about a century old, is just across 101 from the Hollywood Bowl. But unlike the incredibly huge Bowl, the Ford and its castle-like level are intimate compared to just 1200 seats (and the same picnic policy). Even at this smaller size, parking is still tricky on the narrow Cahuenga Pass, so look for free round-trip service from Universal City. subway station as well as Ovation Hollywood.

You can check out this year’s full program, with all sorts of dance and jazz shows we haven’t even talked about yet, on Ford’s website, as well as below.
