WorldSBK is proud to announce a new partnership with Subaru, marking the start of an unprecedented collaboration that will see the all-electric Subaru Solterra take up the intermediate tier as the official protection vehicle of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship from 2025.
As part of a three-year agreement, from 2025 to 2027, four Subaru Solterra cars, the brand’s first fully electric SUVs, will play a major role in each round of WorldSBK. Combining the latest generation with signature Subaru functionality and reliability, these cars are poised to make their mark on one of motorsport’s biggest stages.
The partnership between Subaru and WorldSBK reflects their shared commitment to performance, innovation and creating exciting experiences. The arrival of the Solterra as an official protection vehicle highlights the brand’s core values: to be safe, fun and tough.
The Subaru Solterra will play a key role in maintaining track protection during the WorldSBK season. Responsible for assessing situations before each inquiry and being able to temporarily respond to incidents, the Solterra’s complex permanent four-wheel drive formula and dual electric motors ensure maximum traction and control in a variety of situations. Designed for precision and performance, it provides the confidence needed in critical moments on the court.
Subaru’s presence will go beyond track tasks. At the WorldSBK Round, a dedicated hospitality unit will showcase the Solterra, allowing media and WorldSBK enthusiasts to explore Subaru’s latest inventions and take part in exclusive hot laps, ride checks and other fun Lopass discovery activities. This immersive delight brings Subaru’s forward-thinking philosophy directly to the ultimate fan-focused paddock.
Subaru Europe also confirmed plans to use WorldSBK as one of their key platforms to launch and unveil brand new electric models over the next three years.

As we move towards full electrification as a component of our ‘Power On’ program. Ready. Charge. ‘, we remain committed to preserving Subaru’s unique combination of Japanese engineering, sporty character and adventurous and innovative spirit, qualities that resonate deeply in the hearts of WorldSBK and Subaru fans.
