UPDATE: Treasure Gray, 21, was seriously injured in Friday’s shooting and crash involving an IndyGo bus and two cars.

Gray’s relatives made the decision to release her from the intensive care unit on Saturday.

Gray is the mother of a 7-month-old daughter, named Elysian.

Gray’s mother, Karen Cox, shared the following with News 8:

“We need other people to know that valuable things have been taken from us. They took her 7-month-old daughter from a mother. . . If you know anything, contact your family, the police, or news channels.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It all started with an argument, the circle of relatives of a woman in critical condition said after a crash Friday morning in which she shot and grew.

Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 6 a. m. Friday to a report of gunshots in the 1800 block of North Harding Street. It is on the northwest side of the city, in an area about three-tenths of a mile east of Riveraspect Park.

Police arrived at the intersection of West 18th Street and North Harding Street to report the twist of fate involving two cars and an IndyGo bus. The windshield of the bus was ejected by the twist of fate.

The IMPD indicates that two other people from the same car were taken to the hospital. One of them, a woman, had been shot. She is in critical condition.

I-Team 8 spoke with the relatives of the woman who was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Family members said they were being chased through the other car involved in the crash.

Tva Lillard, the aunt of the critically ill woman, explained to I-Team 8 how it all started with an argument. It’s stupid. The whole situation is stupid.

Lillard said members of his family were also shot at others in the second car.

Investigators said “several people” were inside the car at the time, but did not need to give an exact number.

Two other injured people later showed up at the hospital and police are connected to the crash and shooting, according to Officer Tommy Thompson of the IMPD’s Public Information Division.

An IMPD investigator at the scene told News 8 that the driver of the IndyGo was not injured and that the only passenger on the bus left before assistance arrived.

The IMPD treated the scene of the twist of fate as a crime scene and detectives were rushing to download a search warrant for one of the cars to see if there were any weapons inside.

Lillard told I-Team 8 that the total scenario might have been avoided if everyone involved had communicated with each other.

“Stop the violence. Ultimately, he has a life to live. People have children, families, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. Stop him,” Lillard said.
