“The White Lotus”
HBO’s “The White Lotus” is back: viewers, once again, have murder on their hands.
Season 2 begins with Daphne (Meghann Fahy) swimming on her last day in Sicily, when she collides with a corpse (or body part?) and swims screaming towards shore.
The installment of the moment of Mike White’s animated limited series explores the tense sexual politics in one of the most romantic and historical settings in the world, while constructing not just one death, but several. Like Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore), director of White Lotus Sicily, she learns. , there are more bodies there, which definitely defines this death as homicide, unlike the questionable twist of fate in season 1.
With a generally new cast and so many possibilities, IndieWire breaks down the chances of life or death each week, updating to reflect the trailers in the latest episode. Here’s who we think is the most likely to die, kill and emerge unscathed in the season. 2 of “The White Lotus”.
1. Lucie (Simona Tabasco)
Statistically, the chances of homicide don’t seem good for a young lone sex worker. She is on the side of the hotel staff and Valentina’s trial, and represents a duty to Dominic (Michael Imperioli) if his father or son finds out.
2. Mía (Béatrice Grannó)
Don’t confuse her with Lucia, but the two are together, which means that any disorder Lucia has can easily fool her most productive friend. And again: Murders! The only time Mia was alone, a skittish old man mistook her for a sex worker and threw a drink in her face. It wouldn’t be the first time a guy would reject her badly. . .
3. Berto (F. Murray Abraham)
No disrespect, he usually minds his own business: he’s just old and most likely won’t suffer an accidental injury (like the fatal stab in Season 1) or a physical altercation.
4. Portia (Haley Lu Richardson)
Like Lucia and Mia, Portia is in danger basically because she is a woman who passes the time; this is precisely what boss Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) orders her to do in the first episode.
5. Cameron (Theo James)
As soon as episode 1 goes into flashbacks, it shows that Cam and Daphne are almost inseparable. But a week after her arrival in Italy, she is alone on the beach, without even a loose chair by her side. Your reaction to the picture (box parts??) floating on water can mean anything; It turns out that she collapses when she returns to the beach, but this is also justified by the corpse of a stranger, some other vaguely recognizable guest, or her real husband. intentionally darkened through umbrellas, and even if you stand up, you may still be Cam. Season 1 began with Rachel (Alexandra Daddario) at the airport, who began hating her husband for their vacation together, even though he lived long enough to go. Back home
1. Daphne (Meghan Fahy)
Daphne in the bloodless open where the corpse is found, which means she gets this season’s Get Out of Death Free card. But that doesn’t mean you’re not in danger of physical injury, distress, or any other crazy things White Lotus Sicily has in store for your.
2. Valentina
Also represented at the opening, Valentina is more involved with the hotel’s reputation and the safety of her own task than with the pile of developing corpses thrown ashore.
3. Tania
Tanya has become more commonly specialized for herself so far, and her character is the main connective tissue of the series between seasons rising to the same White Lotus hotels. That said, writers can simply kill her to pull that rug out from under the fans. ‘ feet comfortable, excited and raise an emotion of uncertainty to long-term prospective seasons.
4. Ethan (Will Sharpe)
Will is the least menacing and least troublesome character on this screen right now, and for that, we salute him. Enjoy it while it lasts, buddy.
5. Albie (Adam DiMarco)
Albie is focused on his circle of relatives for now, but in a position intrigued by Portia and in a position to step away from plans to spend time with her. He’s a smart vintage guy. . . But for how long?
6. Greg (Jon Gries)
Just because Greg didn’t commit the murder in season 1 doesn’t mean he’s completely innocent. He and Tanya are now married, which means she trusts him, but Tanya is not known for her sharp judgment. Greg has a total past, several marriages and his own secrets, each of which can be revealed on this journey.
1. Dominica
Dom holds up pretty well while his wife yells at him on the phone, almost too well. His face is emotionless to the point of being emotionless, with shadows of surprise, amusement, and anger, each of which is a red flag on a screen. where a psychopath would possibly have engaged in a murderous rampage. He may also simply end up killing Lucia and/or Mia to cover his tracks and make sure he returns home, and others who stand in his way.
2. Harper (Aubrey Square)
Harper hasn’t shown fatal tendencies so far, but he doesn’t pass the temperament test. So far, she is the only character on this screen to show visual external dissatisfaction of any kind, which she and notoriously does. Your fundamental annoyance with Daphne, Cam and the total vacation can spiral out of control at any time.
3. Cameron
Honestly, it’s too obvious. Cam is possibly the guy everyone looks at when someone mentions the female killers in “Dateline,” not to mention that he’s here popping up outside of her penis; However, those are the most common symptoms of being an asshole, not a murderer. And the asshole of an overly loving husband already committed a homicide in season 1!Let’s combine it.
“The White Lotus” airs on Sundays at 9 p. m. ET on HBO.
