Anjana Rajan, a technologist and entrepreneur, joined the Office of the White House National Director of Cybersecurity as Deputy Director of Cyber Security on Tuesday in a LinkedIn post.
She spent time as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Cornell Tech before her appointment to the White House.
Previously, Rajan, the first chief technology officer of the anti-trafficking nonprofit Polaris, conceptualized the organization’s vision for Web3 and human rights, as well as its strategy for responding to disinformation threats from extremist groups.
From 2012 to 2017, he served as CTO at Callisto, a social network that develops software used to combat sexual assault and prosexual coercion.
Rajan also worked on projects at Palantir Technologies as an implementation strategist for the Middle East and served as a technologist at Johnson’s Janssen Healthcare Innovation company.
