ASHWAUBENON – Bergstrom Automotive will build a new self-contained Subaru dealership in an Ashwaubenon that has been vacant while Streetwise is in Array
Bergstrom purchased Cliff Wall Subaru, Mazda and Mitsubishi dealerships on East Mason Street in February and announced updates and physical adjustments to come.
John Bergstrom, chief executive of Bergstrom Automotive, said the company is now starting this effort with plans to move the Subaru dealership to a new 50,000-square-foot construction at the former Mack Truck site at 761 Pilgrim Way, east of Holmgren Way and north of the state. 172.
“We’ve done a lot of paints to find out what the right position is in the Green Bay market,” Bergstrom said. “This site is our number one selection and we couldn’t be more excited.”
The new Bergstrom Subaru dealership will come with sales, service and a frame shop. Bergstrom said he will employ another 70 people once it’s over next year.
“Everything is in a position to provide the most productive service imaginable for our Subaru owners,” Bergstrom said.

The car dealership, which also recently opened an Express Cars batch in Ashwaubenon, has already obtained initial approvals for the Subaru dealership of the Ashwaubenon Implementation Plan Review Committee and the Ashwaubenon Planning Commission. The village council is expected to comply with the site’s plans and Bergstrom’s request to clear the access road between the assets and Pilgrim Way at its assembly earlier this month.
Aaron Schuette, Ashwaubenon’s director of network development, said Bergstrom’s plans were an improvement for an asset that had not been used for years.
“This is a visual place in the town that we’ve been looking to remodel for some time,” Schuette said. “Bergstrom is a wonderful network partner and its construction here will have an impressive effect.”
Neenah-based car dealership innovations at its Green Bay area facility will be prevented by the new Subaru building.
Bergstrom said Subaru’s move from former Cliff Wall dealership to 1988 E. Mason St. will make more room for Mazda and Mitsubishi dealerships there.
