The lighting facility in Lower Manhattan in honor of those who suffered on September 11 will return this year after all. The National Museum and Memorial on September 11 announced Thursday that its annual tribute to kindness, double rays of kindness commemorating those who suffered the 9/11 terrorist attacks, would not light up on the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and organizers mentioned the dangers of the fitness pandemic for the crews that help install the gentles.
On Saturday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the state would pay additional fitness personnel to securely mount the tribute lights.
“This year, her message of hope, power of permanence and resistance is more vital than ever,” said [the museum’s president and ceo, Alice M. Greenwald]. “For more than 24 hours, we have had conversations with many stakeholders and can organize the tribute safely and appropriately.”

CDC Reports More COVID-19 Infections in Children
