The runway is expected to remain closed until TSB has finished its on-site investigation and the aircraft has been removed. The aircraft, a Mitsubishi MU-2 owned by Thunder Airlines Limited (Thunder Bay), served as an air ambulance. with 3 other people on board when it landed and exited the runway in the morning. The robbery began in Thunder Bay at 6:52 a. m. No injuries were reported.

Wawa-news can verify that an air ambulance had an incident while landing at Wawa Municipal Airport just before 8 a. m. m. de hoy. SE OPP, Wawa Fire replied. The aircraft came to rest next to the tree line on the east side of the runway, at the halfway point.

With fire trucks on the tarmac, no aircraft can land at this time.
