We’re 99% sure this is the next generation Nissan Frontier in Death Valley

As a component of a bombardment of new models destined to change the company, Nissan is preparing to present a new Frontier van logo by 2021. We’ve already noticed flashes of leaks and official teaser videos, but some kind of camouflaged tester has now been seen outdoors.

And here it is from behind. High free floor space, square front fairing, F-150 style taillights. Yes, it’s a van, that’s fine.

The envelope that erases the eyes does its task to hide the best details, however, the front finish of this van looks like what we have already noticed in those above leaks and advances. There’s still no confirmation from Nissan that this is definitely the next frontier, but come on. It’s going to be.

Under the hood, we know that the Nissan Frontier 2021 will use the brand’s new 3.8-liter V6 and nine-speed automatic transmission, a powertrain that provides the existing 281 lb-ft edition of torque and 310 horsepower. Based on the symbol that was leaked in May, a Nismo edition of the upcoming Frontier is also possible, dressed in a sporty red trim, thick off-road tires and a prominent “NISMO” badge on the grille, obviously encouraged through the Ford Ranger and F-150 Raptor models.

Frontier is a vital player for Nissan, especially in the United States, crazy about trucks. It is currently its fourth best-selling vehicle in the United States, only the Rogue, the Altima and the Sentra. Even in the fourteenth year of production of the existing generation (!!!), Nissan controlled selling around 72,000 borders in 2019.

Expect the automaker to officially reveal more about the new Frontier this year.
