VW’s SEAT reported a loss of millions of euros in the first quarter, according to which the quarter will be worse

BARCELONA, July 8 (Reuters) – Volkswagen’s Spanish brand SEAT interim chairman Carsten Isensee said on Wednesday the carmaker reported a 48 million euro loss in the first quarter of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and said the second quarter will be worse.

“We are convinced that we will recover,” Isensee said at a news conference, adding that production at the main outdoor SEAT plant in Barcelona lately is almost the same as before the pandemic. (Reporting through Joan Faus, edited through Inti Landauro)
