For an automaker with an enviable reputation for safety, Volvo doesn’t seem upset with twisted tongues with its expansive XC60 T8 Polestar Engineered 2020. This small five-passenger luxury SUV is Volvo’s beam in the functionality market, with a turbocharged and turbocharged. four-cylinder engine that is combined with an electric motor fixed on the rear axle.

Polestar Engineered is a Volvo department committed to electrified power trains. On the Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar Engineered, you get a turbocharged, supercharged 4-cylinder engine along with an electric motor. A total of 415 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque is directed towards all 4 wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. During our time with it, the operation between the gas engine and the electric motor is transparent. Acceleration is elegant and effortless, if not exactly a tingling in the spine, more on that later.
Despite rolling on very wide 22-inch alloy wheels, the suspension of our XC60 has proven to be comfortable and subtle on all types of road surfaces. You manually compose the firmness of the gold suspension dials under the hood and on the wheel steps; These provide a total of 22 other specially tuned Ohlins surprise absorber settings. It’s a spicy detail for a circle of SUV relatives.
We’ve said it before and we’re going to say it again: the Volvo XC60’s cab is an elegant, comfortable and modern position to pass the time. The seats provide and there is plenty of room for anyone who sits in any of the rows. A 12.3-inch vertical touch screen is also popular and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The taste is subjective, however, we believe that the XC60 remains a great luxury SUV. It’s sporty without being ostentatious. Unless you have a strong aversion to yellow, it’s a touch of laughter.
Having been seriously disappointed by the striking and “nervous” Brembo braking formula used in the S60 T8 Polestar Engineered sedan, an almost mechanical double of the XC60, we were involved in the same challenge staying here. Fortunately, this is the case. The XC60 uses another supplier and the brakes have been a massive improvement over what we experience in its sedan counterpart.

How can an SUV with so much strength and torque not feel more sporty? Despite the impressive strength of this gas powertrain, the overall result is not up to the task of what the numbers suggest.
