Residents of the Miami-Dade district of Westchester said they had enough after months of foreigners to bring their cars in early morning.
Surveillance photographs have captured several incidents, feeding anxiety in the neighborhood.
One such incident occurred around four a. m. of February 2, when a guy in a hoodie gets stuck in a ring chamber that was trying to open two car doors.
“The gentle is the car, checking the car car,” said Yuri, an owner who shared the video.
He is involved on what it is when he sleeps, founded only in his camera in the ring for alerts.
“The scariest part? Next time, when they’re nothing [or nothing], he breaks the car,” she said.
Another ring post on the same night, less than two kilometers from Yuri’s house, showed a guy entering a car with a backpack and dating a white bag two minutes later.
Additional photographs of a neighbor’s camera have captured another type with a black sweatshirt that looks for open cars while the individual followed, with a backpack and a white bag.
Residents said it extends beyond the carjacking.
“In every two days in the morning. All the mailboxes here for the next two or 3 blocks are open,” said a resident, who sought to remain anonymity. “We have noticed gentlemen in the bicycle chamber, opening mailboxes. “
The frustrated are now putting pressure on them for greater protection measures.
“I would like to have security here,” said a resident called Maggie. “We receive a request for other people to point out to put a security guard on the front. “
A more recent ring from Feb. 20 showed other people in fleece sweaters coming in cars and trying to open them.
CBS News Miami showed that at least one report was sent to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s office.
Officials have not yet responded to data requests related to more judicial cases or active investigation.
