Home ‘Models’ VIDEO Series 1: Find out why the BMW 1 Series hatchback is still a car
October 4, 2020/2 minutes of reading
Europe has many BMWs, but not North America. American Mericans are stupid with our car buying logic, preferring large SUVs to pretty much everything else, so European brands tend to keep their most productive models in their Atlantic look. However, I am personally very disappointed by the exclusion of a specific BMW from our ribs – the BMW 1 Series hatchback. In this video from JayEmm, we see precisely why.
In this video, JayEmm talks about his old BMW 130i sedán, a car he sold and deeply regrets. Luckily, he bought the car he sold and that’s a big deal. So charming, in fact, that I am debating a change to any European country, just to buy one. Of course, it would be a country with cars driving left because it is the right look of the car . . .
The BMW 1 Series hatchback E87 is aging a bit, some models are almost fifteen years old, so they can be received for little money. However, for the money, it’s hard to get a bigger overall package. The first sedán is a rear-wheel drive BMW that can be used with a six-cylinder engine at the front and potentially a six-speed manual. Seriously, is there a better daily driving package than that?It can also be found in three or five door configurations, to meet all your needs. As a user with a small child, a BMW 130i five-door manual is quite the best car daily for me.
In addition, as JayEmm says, the E87 1 series sedans are relatively reliable and fun cars to drive with a massive modding community. So you can do the first one exactly as you want; stock, slightly settled or highly modified. It’s a shame the E87 never made it to America. What do you think is the most productive position to settle?Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece? Take me to a Series 1 sedán.
