July 25, 2020/2 minutes of reading
For U.S. residents, the Skoda logo is completely unknown. Originally founded in the Czech Republic in the 19th century, the logo is the most productive known and appreciated in Europe, with a long culture. However, it did not actually increase in terms of sales and popularity until the Volkswagen Group bought it. Now, the Octavia is one of the most productive sales cars on the old continent. In addition, they even expand their own sports line under the RS badge.
The Octavia RS is necessarily a Golf GTI with another frame style. It uses many of its foundations and the same 2-liter gasoline engine with more than two hundred hp in stock. What we have here, however, is not a Skoda Octavia RS.
According to the other people from Autocar India, the covered Skoda on the starting line is configured to produce about 400 horsepower. This is almost twice the strength provided through the plant. Will it be enough to beat your opponent here in the 1/4 mile state race?
In the other aspect of the track, we have the new plug-in hybrid selection from the BMW 7 Series range. This is the BMW 745, the style that is the long battle version. This makes it significantly heavier than the Skoda, tipping the balance to more than 2 tons, while the Octavia exceeds 1,600 kilos.
However, the BMW has other tricks up its sleeve. It has a 3-liter in-line six-cylinder engine under the hood and an electric motor for Array Plus, it has all-wheel drive to release everything.
Overall, the BMW can count on 394 horsepower and six hundred Nm (442 pounds-ft) of torque and will do a hundred km/h in a stalemate in just over five seconds. This will be decisive, as you are about to see. The BMW won the race 1/4 mile as expected still through a pinch.
Offline, it’s incredibly faster, with the help of all-wheel drive and electric torque. However, the lighter Skoda made up for it towards the end and, if it were a 1/2 mile race, it would have won.
