The time has come to see another attractive showdown between the new BMW M5 and a supercar. We’ve gotten used to this lately, especially with regard to this specific M5 that belongs to the guys on the DSC Off channel. They basically turned it into a web superstar, after settling for 840 HP. And it’s not even that hard, to be honest, yet, once the upgrade was done, the supercars were in the line of fire.
We’ve noticed that this 840 HP M5 faces genuine monsters on the drag track. From the Ferrari 488 Track to the McLaren 720S and other cars, this M5 has done it all. Today, it runs into a supercar, but it has also been manipulated and offers even more strength than the M5 in the 4 corners of the car. Yes, this time, the M5 faces an Audi R8 biturbo listening.
The Audi R8 is already a qualified super-mobile. It has a 5.2 litre V10 with more than six hundred hp in the popular version. This, however, did not gain one or two turbochargers and the strength levels, as expected, increased considerably. So, from what I can get from this video (in Russian), the R8 now has 850 hp to depend on. Since the car is all-wheel drive, cutting this force will not be a problem.
The M5 also has all-wheel drive and only produces 10 hp less. However, it has other disorders to deal with, such as weight and a less aerodynamic design. And this will surely complicate things for BMW. What surprised me was that, offline, the M5 seemed faster. However, after a bit of speed, other points began to make a bigger difference, as you are about to see. The race starts at 14:25.
