Victoria Police have made a public appeal to track down a guy who they say “ran away” from a drunken bus site in Melbourne with cloned number plates.
On Tuesday afternoon, police said the liquor bus was in operation in Delahey, northwest of Melbourne, on March 31 when the incident occurred.
The man reportedly drove down Taylors Road shortly after 9:30 p. m. in a white Audi sedan.
“Officers spoke with the driver and conducted an initial breathalyzer check when we decided the license plates had been cloned,” police said.

“The driver is perceived as an insular-looking man, an elderly man in his 20s and 30s with tattoos on his arms. “
Victoria Police has since posted a symbol on its social media accounts of a type that would possibly assist officials in their investigations into the incident.
