LONDON – Production at the Ellesmere Port plant in Vauxhall, United Kingdom, will resume on 17 August, one of the country’s last primary plants to reopen after the closure of the coronavirus outbreak in March.
More than a hundred protective measures are being implemented to prevent the spread of the virus, adding temperature controls and goggles or goggles dresses, said a father of the PSA group.
The north of England built just under 62,000 Vauxhall/Opel Astra cars last year and staff are waiting for a resolution on whether new investments will be made to keep the facility open, depending on the final results of the Brexit.
