“It is available on Condell Road and will be made available to the public free of charge,” said a local authority spokesman who said the use of the car park will be reviewed.
The Cleeves is less than a kilometre from the city centre, making it ideal for visitors to the city of Limerick.
The city council says that the car park, which has been used in the Christmas season in recent years, can open on weekends if the call is sufficient.
