UG 2022 Admissions: Nearly 6000 Fellows Settle for Positions in the First Round of Placement Assignments, Only 349 Confirmed

2022 admissions: About 6,000 applicants have accepted the seats assigned to them in the first allocation of positions for admission to undergraduate programs, a university official told PTI.

In the first circular of allocation of places, places were awarded to more than 8,680 scholarship holders. To date they have accredited their admission through 349 fees.

“Of the 8,682 fellows allocated seats in the first round, 6,030 accepted the seat,” the official said.

Candidates have the option to settle for the vacancies assigned so far. The vacancy allocation circular, which began on 20 November, provided more than 26,200 applicants with the opportunity to apply for approximately 14,000 vacancies in undergraduate courses at the faculties of the University of Delhi.

Unlike the normal rounds of the Common Seating System (CSAS), there will be no replacement in seat allocation under the seat intake system. The seats assigned in an admission to the country would be final.

58,883 fellows have been admitted for undergraduate courses through the 3rd CSAS placement circular, while around 14,000 positions are vacant at the university that initiated student admission for the 2022-23 education year in September.

The university’s undergraduate systems have 70,000 seats. The DU announced on Wednesday the first list of admitted. November 27 is the deadline for payment of admission fees.

The availability of places, the specific merit of the program, the order of preference of the schools and the category will be criteria for the allocation of places.

The admission process to the university, presented on September 12, takes place in 3 phases: the application process, the filling of personal tastes and the allocation of quotas with admission.
