The Brevard County Fire Department responded to a twist of fate involving a covered truck near the United States 1 and Compass Drive in Melbourne just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The truck’s driving force was injured after chimney officials said the truck crashed into a pole near the road south of Viera Boulevard.
The first responders transported the driving force to a local hospital with trauma injuries.
All U.S. S.1 lanes were closed in the domain, while police and the workers’ medical corps worked to block the domain.
