Two Surrey intersections lead car accidents in 2019, according to new ICBC data

Two intersections in Surrey are raiding major car accident sites in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland in 2019.

According to new knowledge provided through ICBC, the intersection of 104th Avenue and 152th Street was the harmful maximum last year with 345 accidents, followed by 120th Street and 72th Avenue with 338 accidents.

The corridor along Highway 1 also houses a large number of collisions. The exit ramp from two hundredth street to Langley saw 258 wreckage, followed by the 264th Street exit at Abbotsford at 236.

The state insurer on Tuesday published five years of reliable statistics from a data-sharing initiative aimed at expanding transparency and accountability.

Knowledge can be accessed through the municipality, vehicle type, location and collision configuration, such as a rear, front or side impact.

The intersection of greatest risk in Vancouver is on Boundary Road and Grandview Highway on the Burnaby border, with 226 collisions recorded there in 2019. 215 collisions were reported at Cambia Street and West Avenue 41.

On Vancouver Island, the number of injuries and the number of other people are much smaller.

The intersection of Victoria with the highest number of collisions last year Hillside Avenue and Shelbourne Avenue, with 98 accidents.
