Traffic tracking service Inrix reported that cars were queuing near the Spar store near the Rodney Road junction.
The collision was first recorded at the site at 1:10 p.m. and there’s still congestion in the domain at 3 p.m.
However, the road has cleared and motorists have had to pass as usual.
The Southwest Ambulance Service showed that two other people were injured and taken to the hospital, but it is not known if their condition is serious.

The Southwest Ambulance Service said in the incident a car crashed into a wall.
One spokesman said: “We were called at 1 p.m. for a collision between a and a wall on West Town Road, Backwell.
“We treated two injured patients and transported them to the hospital overland for additional treatment.
“They also evaluated two other patients who were injured.”
The ambulance service did not check if the injuries were serious.
Congestion in the now has cleared and the road is no longer blocked.
Southwest Ambulance Service has not yet shown whether anyone was injured in the collision.

A member of the Spar store, near where the collision occurred, told Bristol Live at 3.15pm traffic appears to be passing.
They reported that two police cars and an ambulance attended the turn of fate and that the PCSO remained on site.
The collision appears to have occurred at or near the rodney Road junction, leading to retail outlets adding The Spar and St Peter’s Hospice outlets.
Traffic sensors involve slow traffic on either road, passing Station Road in one direction and Coach House on the other.
