Two motorcyclists, a Fort Carson soldier, die in head-on collision with Hummer

EL PASO COUNTY, Colorado (KRDO) – Two motorcyclists died early Sunday morning after a head-on collision with a Hummer near Fountain.

The soldiers were sent to reports of a fatal turn of fate on I-25 northbound near Milepost 135.After an initial investigation, infantrymen learned that a 2017 Harley Davidson was traveling south on the exit ramp north towards South Academy.2003 Hummer H2 was traveling north on I-25 when cars collided head-on.

The 42-year-old guy behind the wheel of the motorcycle and his passenger, a 39-year-old woguy, died in the crash.The Harley Davidson’s driving force was a soldier stationed at Fort Carson, according to CSP.

The 63-year-old man driving the Hummer suffered minor injuries, while his 56-year-old female passenger was seriously injured.Both cars hit the chimney after the collision, infantrymen said.

CSP is still investigating, but detectives say alcohol is believed to be a factor in this fatal accident.
