A guy and a woguy were injured after two cars crashed near a bustling entertainment complex in the city.

A VW Golf abandoned on its roof on Watson Road, Nechells after a collision near Star City and Costco on Sunday morning (August 30).

A dozen Ward End and Erdington firefighters deployed at the scene shortly after 9:30 a. m.

Footage from the crash captured the red VW on its roof in the middle of the road alongside a white Range Rover with severe frontal damage.

A 62-year-old man and a 65-year-old man were assessed for injuries and transferred to the hospital for preventive check-ups.

A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Fire Department said: “We were desisted at 9. 34am, Ward End and Erdington chimney crews were present.

“There was also a fuel leak, five litres had elapsed. Three occupants released.

“A 65-year-old man and a 62-year-old man were cared for by crews and an ambulance and taken to the hospital for preventive checks.

“A 25-year-old man reported a foot injury. He was taken to the police at the scene. “
