Two other people are in custody after a carjacking Wednesday night at Somerset Collection in Troy led to a police chase that ended up in Jackson County.
Those affected were walking down the south side of the mall when four other people left a Nissan to ask where the valet was, Troy police said.
About an hour later, when the two buyers, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old from Inkster, drove to his car with his shopping, two other Nissan people jumped out of the car, one with his hand. gun and with an AK-47, according to officials.
Both suspects took the victims’ belongings and their 2016 black Dodge Charger. Police said no one was injured.
