Two Detroit men accused of stealing Dodge Chargers from Pinckney dealership

PINCKNEY, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) — Two Detroit men were charged Sunday with allegedly stealing Dodge Chargers from a dealership in Pinckney, he said.

Desean Stanley, 18, of Detroit, has been charged with 12 counts in connection with the incident. He was arraigned on March 12 and posted $500,000 in bail.

Armarion Gaskin, 21, also of Detroit, charged with one count. He also filed charges with the court and deposited $25,000 in cash.

At 5:30 a. m. on Sunday, March 10, Pinckney police detected a “suspicious situation” at the Pinckney Chrysler dealership.

As officers responded to the area, a traffic cut in a vehicle was initiated by a Pinckney officer. Police say as soon as the officer turned on their headlights, three new Dodge cars fled the area at full speed.

Other agencies stepped in to help and Brighton police stopped a white Dodge Charger and showed him one of the dealership’s vehicles.

Another dealership vehicle pulled over to a Michigan State Police officer.

A 17-year-old from Warren is also concerned about the incident, and the government says it is filing a complaint with the juvenile justice system.

The investigation is ongoing. Pinckney police are on the trail of other suspects involved.
