A passenger camp arrived at Horfield Common, with reports of fields ripped off with an excavator.

This morning (September 2) there were about 10 caravans at Horfield Recreation Center park on Dorian Road.

The images show several Range Rovers and trucks also on the site.

A man visiting the park told Bristol Live that the camp’s cars included an excavator and an off-road motorcycle.

He said: “There’s a kid in his 13th birthday who drives a motocross motorcycle through the fields and destroys them. They also have a little JCB.”

An administrator of the Facebook organization Friends of Horfield Common published yesterday: “Councillors and officials from the city of Bristol are aware that a new traveller organization has arrived on the floor this afternoon.”

A council spokesman showed he’s following a court order.

There have been several camps in recent months.

It is understood that a passenger camp moved to the park around August 19, after leaving Clifton Down.

Weeks earlier, a group of travelers with about 20 caravans had parked on Horfield Common before heading to Wellington Hill Play Park on July 31.

The city council went to the camp on this occasion, carrying out a welfare assessment and then serving an expulsion sentence. The police were also present.
