Toyota unveils Suzuki-based Urban Cruiser compact SUV

BANGALORE, INDIA – The first images and data about Toyota’s new Urban Cruiser have given the impression on the company’s website, and the new compact SUV is possibly well suited to the South African market.

It has not yet been shown whether Toyota SA had plans for this vehicle, however, when Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Indian department announced a merger with Maruti Suzuki in 2018, it also revealed that some of the resulting products would be destined for Africa. Markets.

The same goes for the engine, which is a 1.5-litre atmospheric unit that produces 77 kW and 138 Nm and buyers can between a manual and an automatic transmission. Automatic versions are also supplied with a convenient hybrid formula consisting of a battery and a built-in starter generator.
