Australia’s favorite car logo is giving a real boost to its symbol, and a new pocket rocket is expected to arrive next year.
Toyota’s Corolla Cross will go on sale in 2022 Source: supplied
Toyota has reinvented the Corolla, adding a third-frame flavor to one of the most popular nameplates along the way.
A giant Toyota Corolla Cross will be registered for the existing Corolla sedan and Corolla sedan in showrooms from the time of 2022, providing drivers with a new compact SUV option.
Larger than the compact Toyota Yaris Cross or C-HR SUV but smaller than the popular Toyota RAV4, the Corolla Cross brings a technique to Subaru’s xv crossover.
Mounted on wheelbase such as the Corolla hatchback (unlike the more spacious sedan), the Corolla Cross heads to the achilles heel of the small car.

Normal Corolla models have a small trunk, with 217 liters of trunk area for models supplied with a spare wheel, or 333 liters for hybrid variants that have a repair kit.
The new one has a much more welcoming trunk volume of 487 liters, which will certainly be well received by developing families.
But it’s unlikely to drive as well as the Corolla’s strangely dynamic hatch, as Toyota opted for a less expensive swivel beam rear suspension of the complicated five-door exhaust triangle design.

Already on sale in Thailand, Corolla Cross runs on a selection of petrol or hybrid engines of 1.8 liters of 103 kW and 90 kW maximum.
Toyota Australia says it is too soon to lock in local specifications for the car, but the growing popularity of hybrid models suggests the petrol-electric version is a certain starter in Australia.
Expect your device to be supplied with up-to-date connectivity and safety technology, adding mirrored and complex driving aids when you arrive in two years.
