The advance that glanza will provide sophisticated cosmetic adjustments in the Baleno.

Confirm that the Glanza will get the same 16-inch alloy wheels as the Baleno.

The Glanza, a discounted Baleno, will be the first product of the Toyota-Suzuki agreement.

You should ask for a slight premium on Baleno gasoline, with a price of Rs 5.46 lakh to Rs 8.77 lakh (old Delhi showroom).

Scheduled for release in June 2019, it will be presented in two variants with a CVT for both.

While we are still awaiting its release after its announcement last year, the Toyota Glanza has now been teased in a video. The video confirms that The Toyota edition of the Maruti Baleno will have sophisticated adjustments to the latter, at least in the profile.

The video also confirms that the Toyota Glanza will retain the same 16-inch alloy wheels, with Toyota’s badge in the center. The small truncated antenna also does not change, as does the chromium band that runs along the cap of the Baleno trunk. In addition, the Toyota Glanza presented here is finished in a red tone, similar to the Pearl Phoenix Red in the Baleno. Although there is no official word on this, only the front and rear of the Toyota Glanza deserve to be a little different from those of the Baleno. Similarly, Glanza’s interiors are also likely to be slightly punctured here and there.

The Toyota Glanza will only come with a 1.2-liter petrol engine unlike the Baleno, which offers 4 engine characteristics (three petrol and one diesel). Since it deserves to have a slight premium on Baleno gas of the same specification, we believe that the Toyota Glanza could get the new 1.2-liter Dual Jet gas engine with comfortable hybrid technology, recently introduced into the Baleno. It is stronger and more fuel-efficient than Baleno’s existing 1.2-liter engine. Toyota will offer a popular 5-speed manual transmission, while a CVT automatic transmission will also be an option in any of its variants.

The standard protective apparatus is on par with the Maruti Baleno with features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera with sensors, ISOFIX, high speed warning, IRVM automatic gradation, rear windshield washer and windshield wipers, among others.

The Toyota Glanza will get two variants, so expect the lower one to be an equivalent of the Delta or Zeta, while the top-spec should be at par with the Alpha variant of the Maruti Baleno in terms of features. The top-spec Toyota Glanza should feature all the bells and whistles such as auto LED projector headlamps with DRLs, LED tail lights, auto folding ORVM with integrated turn indicator, keyless entry and go, climate control and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Navigation and voice command.

As for the pricing, the Toyota Glanza is expected to command a slightly higher price tag than the respective petrol-powered  Baleno variant. The Baleno petrol (both 1.2L and 1.2L mild-hybrid) is currently priced from Rs 5.46 lakh to Rs 8.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will be sold and serviced through Toyota touch points across India and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and of course, the donor car, Maruti Baleno.
