Toyota Camry Old Vs New: Top Differences

the magazine loaded

Toyota introduced the new Camry Hybrid in India to Rs 36.95 lakh (former Pan-India showroom). The 10th generation Camry was introduced in 2017 and opposes the Honda Accord Hybrid in India.

Unlike its predecessor, which was first only available with a gasoline engine, the new Camry will be delivered only with a hybrid powertrain. This is how the new sedan differs from its predecessor in the role.

Size

Outside

The new Camry looks more competitive and modern than its predecessor. While old Camry has a sober and boring style, the new Camry looks sportier. The front profile is governed by the solid bumper that houses a giant air dam with horizontal slats. Now there’s less chrome, and this adds to why the new style looks sportier.

The new headlights are more sublime than before and flank the new V-shaped grille, which doesn’t look as wide as the last one, but is thicker in the middle. The hood is also heavily sculpted and this adds more muscle to the front profile. Like the outgoing version, the Toyota logo on the front is surrounded by a blue hue, confirming that it is the hybrid model.

Next door, the profile resembles that of his platform brother, the ES 300h. Therefore, the roof line looks more like a coupe now and the C stand almost mixes with the trunk. In comparison, the old style had a more traditional three-box design, which, in our view, is quite outdated now.

At the rear, where the old Camry had giant taillights, the new style receives more horizontally stretched ensembles that emphasize the width of the car. The new Camry also features an integrated rear aleron, which adds to the sedan’s sporty quotient.

Inside

Like the exterior, the interior has also been renovated. The new interior looks cleaner and simpler. However, it continues to provide the black-beige remedy as its predecessor. The messy center console has been replaced through an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment formula that protrudes from the board. But the focus of the Camry 2018 board is a new line of characters that descends from the board and cuts the center console in the form of a waterfall.

Like its predecessor, the new Camry also features electric tilt rear seats and a central armrest with info and entertainment, air conditioning and other features. However, while the old Camry had physical buttons on the armrest, the new style comes with touch controls.

Features

The new Toyota Camry receives a sunroof, which is the first for a Toyota in India, a 10-inch front demonstration and a wireless cell charger in the style it replaces. Let’s take a closer look at the rest of the features, okay?

Safety: Like its predecessor, the new sedan is supplied with nine airbags, ABS with EBD, braking assistance, vehicle stability traction formula, slope start assist, tire tension tracking formula and parking assistance.

Infotainment: While the old Camry has a 2 DIN music formula with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity options, the new sedan comes with an infotainment formula with 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, integrated navigation and USB support. You also receive a 9-speaker JBL audio formula.

Fires: The new Camry receives automatic LED headlights, LED lighting accessories for daylight hours and LED fog lighting accessories like its predecessor. However, it has front light projectors of multi-reflective units.

Comfort: Like its predecessor, the new Camry comes with three-zone air conditioning, a rear armrest with touch controls for air conditioning, information and entertainment and other functions, rain sensor wipers, electric tilt rear seats and an electric-controlled rear sun clock. , an electric and telescopic guide wheel with reminiscence function, ventilated front seats. While the new Camry has electrically adjustable seats in 10 directions, the previous edition had adjustable seats in 8 directions.

Wheels: Instead of 215/55 R17 tires on the model, the new Camry receives 235/45 R18 tires.

Engine:

Unlike its predecessor, the new Camry will only be available with a hybrid powertrain. It will be powered by a 2.5-liter gasoline engine coupled to an 88 kW electric motor that produces a total force of 218 hp, thirteen hp more than its predecessor. The old Camry also powered the 2.5-liter petrol engine, but was complemented by a 105 kW engine. Like the previous model, the new Camry is also supplied with an e-CVT gearbox.

Price

The new Camry is priced at 36.95 lakh rupees (former Indian showroom), 27,000 rupees than its predecessor (37.22 rupees lakh, former Delhi showroom).
