Toyota and Mazda will invest another $830 million in a new auto plant in the U.S.

NEW YORK – Toyota Motor and Mazda Motor will invest another $830 million in an automotive meeting plant structure in the US state of Alabama, corporations announced Thursday.

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, a joint venture between Japanese manufacturers, will manufacture SUVs. The facility will now have production equipment and worker education services to increase productivity. The total investment will be approximately $2.310 million.

Annual production capacity will remain unchanged in 300,000 games and production will begin next year. Toyota had already announced that if the originally planned Corolla subcompact was generating a new SUV on site. Production will also be distributed with Mazda SUVs.

Production will be contracted later this year and up to 4,000 more people are expected to paint at the plant until 2022.

Both corporations have announced plans to build a new plant in 2018. Initially, they planned to invest $1.6 billion, but investment was reduced by about $100 million at the start of construction.
