Toll Group announces the construction of a new warehouse in Tullamarine

Toll Group has begun the construction of a new 10,000 m² healthcare facility in Tullamarine, Melbourne.

The new site expands Toll’s partnership with pharmaceutical company CSL Seqirus, and the facility is built to fit its operations.

The warehouse and distribution center will be located next to the future CSL Seqirus production site to enable Toll to assist the company by ensuring the distribution of finished products and the supply of raw materials and packaging to the CSL Seqirus production plant.

Toll’s warehouse and distribution center is expected to be operational in August this year, marking Toll’s commitment to providing end-to-end logistics solutions for the healthcare industry.

After starting operations in Tullamarine, Toll is aiming for power and speed through just-in-time services.

Toll’s President of Defence and Government, Perry Singh, says the collaboration between Toll and CSL Seqirus underlines a shared commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare logistics.

“We are proud to partner with CSL Seqirus and expand our presence in the healthcare logistics industry,” says Singh.

“This new facility exemplifies our commitment to delivering customized supply chain responses to meet the changing desires of our customers. “

The new Tullamarine facility, once completed, will join Toll’s new warehouse in Richlands, Queensland, which opened in April last year to shape a new wave of healthcare logistics services.

“The amenities are part of a larger, multi-billion dollar investment through Toll to create complex warehouse control solutions to meet the conversion dynamics of the healthcare industry and provide consumers with the logistics they need,” said Singh.

Singh says the new toll facility will be located adjacent to the CSL Secirus facility, which uses state-of-the-art cell-based generation to produce flu vaccines for use in flu pandemics and seasonal vaccination programs.

It will be the only cell-based influenza vaccine production facility in the Southern Hemisphere.
