MARTIN Lewis has revealed how drivers can get less expensive car insurance while also enjoying more benefits as costs soar in the UK.
Auto insurance is up 43 percent over the past 12 months, according to the latest Confused. com Auto Insurance Price Index.
Speaking on ITV’s Tonight Show, Lewis claimed that many motorists would not be able to get better cover for a lower price than their current deal.
“If you need the cheapest insurance, comprehensive insurance can often be cheaper than third-party insurance,” the private finance guru said. “Some insurers have less complicated comprehensive insurance and that makes up for the fact that you get more. “
It comes as AA has called for electric cars to have lower tax thresholds after expanding excise tax rates on cars, saying it would incentivize drivers to ditch petrol and diesel cars.
