NEW LONDON (WJON News) — Three young men were injured when the UTV they were riding in collided with a pickup truck.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened shortly before 4 p. m. on Sunday at the intersection of Highway Nine and 95th Street west of New London.
A pickup truck struck Matthew Anderson, 40, of Sunburg, eastbound on the highway and the southbound Polaris Ranger on 95th Street when they collided.
The driver of the UTV is a 15-year-old. The State Patrol says he was taken to Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been revealed.
Its two passengers, a 10-year-old boy from New London and an 11-year-old boy from New London, were transported to the children’s hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
