This achievement reflects the trio’s commendable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, core values of Hyundai Canada’s organizational culture. Honorees are chosen through a panel of industry writers and journalists and honour leaders in the Canadian automotive industry who are committed to diversity and equity. and inclusivity within their organizations or across the industry.
Habib, Director of Connected Vehicles and Telematics; McCarthy, National Director of Public Affairs; and Mior, Head of Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, were nominated through industry members to be catalysts to replace and embed Hyundai’s vision of “progress for humanity. “In 2022, with Hyundai Canada’s full leadership team, the trio created Empowering Auto, an independent, federally registered non-profit organization committed to making the automotive industry more inclusive and representative of Canada’s diverse population. The organization’s annual convention serves as a platform to elevate professional profiles, create networking opportunities, and mentorship women and their allies in the automotive field.
