Since the glass fur trend made the first impression in Korea, everyone has coveted it. And we can thank Alicia Yoon for that. The founder of Peach and Lily trained as a beautician in the United States and Korea and combined the most productive of both worlds. When he introduced Peach Serum – Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum in 2018, the promise of a glass skin in a bottle made her fly off the shelves. Now she is still adding another one to the mix: Peach – Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist. “In fact, we started this glass skin movement and, as the serum went viral, other people wondered when their next glass skin product will come out,” Yoon says. “We may have just pumped products, but we were very intentional. We wondered what other people needed to keep their skin very healthy. A mist is moisturizing and regeneration is an essential treatment. Our skin wants this help in the day.”
The Peach – Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist is multitasking. Obviously, this provides a glass skin look, but does much more, adding moisturization, combating damage and soothing the skin. It is designed to be used in 3 ways. “First of all, you can use it directly on bare skin to get an instant glass veil,” Yoon says. “You get this replenishment of all those favorable ingredients that aren’t just hydration. I don’t regularly do powder makeup because it will only make cakes and flakes. The way to use it is under makeup and even for someone like me with very dry skin, when you have it underneath, it’s like an instant app on your skin, giving you a backlit glow. The third way is makeup and even makeup, it’s like an illuminator in a bottle. It’s very buildable. Spray it on makeup also revive your makeup and give it strength.
Filled with hard ingredients, Glass Skin Veil Mist doesn’t just rely on water for its base, which can actually leave skin even drier if it lacks other occlusive ingredients to keep moisture. That’s why new coconut water is a key ingredient, which is full of antioxidants. It is also soft enough for the spray to be a super fine mist. The list of ingredients is supplemented with peach extract to obtain vitamins, minerals and fatty acids essential to achieve this shine and skin; the reishi fungus, an adaptogen that is the cornerstone of classical Korean medicine to decrease damage, inflammation and redness; lotus and liquorice to transparent; cica to calm down; ceramides to protect against stressors; Vitamin E for the skin and aloe to soothe and replenish.
Another key element of Glass Skin Veil Mist is its exclusive VoluSmooth. “We developed this complex of special elements and more than 40 chemists worked on it,” Yoon says. “It’s so innovative that we can sell it to other brands, but we won’t. We created VoluSmooth as an option for 100% vegetable silicone. It’s not just its form, it’s also its function. The 3 elements are bamboo extract, which is useful for strengthening the skin and also has an excellent finish. There is a mulberry extract for antioxidants to combat loose radical damage. Burdana root has been used for centuries in Korean medicine for eczema and acne. Provides a primary glow, protects the skin from the inside. The total formula itself is full of things to combat those daily stressors and make sure this glass skin stays from the inside.
Protecting the skin from everyday tensioners is the key to crystal skin. “Pain beneath the surface of the skin creates a lack of translucency,” Yoon says. “The sun can cause this. Contamination can also lead to hyperpigmentation as well as lack of hydration. There are all those other skin tensioners, adding blue light, the accumulation of toxins in our environment and the internal tension we face. These ingredients are all about calming, hydrating, filling and illuminating.” Yoon herself is no stranger to skin struggles, as she suffers from severe eczema, this is how she started in skin care. That’s why your products are designed to be incredibly smooth.
In the end, the definition of glass skin is healthy skin. “When the skin is healthier, it looks pore-free, luminous and translucent,” Yoon says. “It’s hard to achieve this superficially. It is mandatory to fight inflammation, paint on hyperpigmentation, tighten the appearance of pores and balance the skin. It’s a long-term goal, not something you get overnight. so you can help your skin look like this without makeup. I am very passionate about the cause of severe eczema and I still have itching and inflammation of the skin. You don’t need to have smart skin genes to have crystal skin.”
To solve it, Yoon stores his regimen to obtain a glass skin:
STEP 1: CLEANING. “The first step is very important because cleansers can damage the skin,” Yoon says. “As a beautician, I see many other people taking this step that is gone and it’s hard to catch up. I propose a gentle cleanser like peach and Lily Power Calm moisturizing cleansing gel, as it is moisturizing and soothing. This is one of Kourtney Kardashian’s favorite cleaners. To return to inflammation, it is very vital to do everything possible to combat this and calm down. A cleanser can be a wonderful addition to starting a skin care regimen the right way.
STEP 2: TONER. After cleansing, use a moisturizing tonic to balance the pH point of the skin. Yoon recommends the Essence of Peach and Lily Wild Dew Processing, which combines a few steps to make dual use as a tonic and essence. “Hydration is a basic principle,” he says. “The emphasis is on skin regeneration, hydration and infusion in the first place. This essence has 3 other molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and regenerates the skin. It is ideal to fill the skin with hydration and will absorb everything better. It also contains ingredients for light and firm. One thing I like to do on the days when I have more time and I’m vegger is that I overlay it on a 30-minute TV show. It’s like a Korean hydrofacial. During my 20 years of facials, I have not yet met anyone who says that your skin is too hydrated, almost everyone is dehydrated. All these microclimates, such as air conditioning in summer and radiators in winter, can wreak havoc on our skin.”
STEP 3: SUERO. This is where the peach peel refining serum and lily glass comes in. “It has 2% niacinamide, peptides, a peach extract for nutrients and minerals, and is full of antioxidants,” yoon says. “The clear serum is completely absorbed through the skin and is suitable for all skin types. Like all Ranges of Peachy and Lily, it is also clean. What doesn’t get on the skin is as vital as what’s put on the skin. I don’t need to go seven steps and go back five”.
STEP 4: EYE CREAM. The recently introduced Peach and Lily Pure Peach Retinoic eye cream bakuchiol, a much softer choice for the skin. “Seal everything with wonderful humidity, ” said Yoon.
STEP 5: HYDRATANT. Matcha Peach and Lily Pudding Antioxidant Cream is the reference to Yoon, a super soothing formula that relieves inflammation and is suitable for all skin types. “It’s full of antioxidants for the skin,” Yoon says. “Helps the skin fight pollution.”
STEP 6: SOLAR SCREEN. Every expert knows that this step is non-negotiable. “Every morning, follow this regimen with a sun protection factor,” Yoon says. “Windows only blocks UVB rays, they don’t block UVA rays, so it’s vital to reapply internals because the sun is still coming in.”
