What could be better than a Defender 2020? A Defender 2020 with caravan, of course. GehoCab has just introduced an ingenious new ceiling configuration that transforms the rugged 4×4 into a suite for two.
The design, known as Fiete, focuses directly on the chassis of Land Rover’s new pride and joy, which began to be implemented in the United States last July. While the German has no compatibility has only released versions of the caravan at this point, it turns out to have a perfect compatibility with the SUV, resembling the old-fashioned recreational vehicles of yesteryear, but with a modern and high-end touch.
The lightweight design is made of aeronautical grade carbon fiber and tilted the balance at approximately 1000 pounds. It is compact by nature, is only thirteen feet long by 6 feet wide, and blends harmoniously into the driver’s cab, which has the C-bracket open.
Despite its small size, performances recommend that the caravan offer a bed for two, a table, an outdoor shower, a toilet and a full kitchen in the back.
Designed for off-road adventures, the cab also includes 90 litres of new water storage, a 29-liter compressor cooler, a fuel stove and plenty of seats. The energy, on the other hand, comes in the form of a hundred Ah LiFePO4 battery and hundred WP solar panels.
If you are involved in the use of the cab, the internal accessories may be made of carbon fiber for the total weight. Buyers can also opt for a smaller roof shape that is the total height of the vehicle at less than nine feet.
The part? The ultra-light cab is about to land in the most sensitive of the other 3 next-generation SUVs. GehoCab plans to launch the Fiete for the popular Ford Bronco, as well as for the new Jeep Wrangler and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
