This may be the first electrified chimney advertising truck

Volvo Penta (part of the Volvo Group) introduced a new edition of an electrified chimney truck of the future, developed in collaboration with chimney service vehicle manufacturer Rosenbauer.

Both had been working on the task for some time, while the first concept, the Concept Fire Truck (CFT), was revealed in early 2019.

The vehicle is now supplied with Volvo Penta’s electric transmission, which, according to the press release, appears to be a plug-in hybrid with an internal combustion engine diversity extender (in hybrid standard configuration).

Once the “intensive testing” is completed, the new truck with fireplace will incorporate the genuine visitor with the chimney departments of Berlin, Amsterdam and Dubai.
