They’re looking for two men for murder after shooting him at a motel.

LAKELAND, FL – Homicide detectives are searching for two men in connection with the July 15 death of Deonta Bugg, 22, of Haines City, a motel in Davenport, said a press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Police have issued arrest warrants for first-degree murder, armed and tampering with evidence opposing Sedrick Myers, 20, and Cory Bowland Jr., 18.

Authorities said the two men were armed and dangerous.

Detectives discovered through a witness and evidence at the scene that the victim had sold marijuana in the room he had rented at the motel.

Bugg agreed with Snapchat to sell marijuana, a witness told police. Bugg left the motel room and spoke to two men in a white van.

The victim returned to his motel room to buy drugs for the men, and told the witness that he had a “bad feeling” that the transaction would be stolen. The witness saw the victim return to the parking lot and saw her talking to other people inside an older white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

The witness then saw a black guy inside the truck shoot the victim and the truck left the scene. The truck last noticed it was heading south on US Hwy 27 towards Haines City.

Another witness running nearby at the site of a structure also saw the shooting and the suspicious vehicle. A partial label number was obtained.
