The U. S. Supreme Court U. S. Rejects MyPillow Leader’s Offer to Dodge $1. 3 Billion Lawsuit

Dominion Voting Systems Accuses Trump Supporter Mike Lindell of Selling Unsubstantiated Voter Fraud Allegations

The defamation lawsuit that voting device company Dominion is suing against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell could continue after the U. S. Supreme Court is in the process of a lawsuit. The U. S. government will reject the Trump supporter’s appeal to block the case.

In February 2021, Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1300 million lawsuit accusing Lindell of the debunked conspiracy theory that the company’s machines rigged the vote count for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election that ousted Trump from the Oval Office.

Lindell had appealed an August 2021 ruling through Federal Court Judge Carl Nichols, who refused to dismiss the lawsuit at the request of the MyPillow frontman. An appeals court in Washington D. C. later ruled that the case was not fit for review. On the first day of your summer vacation, the U. S. Supreme Court will be on your summer. The U. S. Supreme Court ruled that it would not accept Lindell’s appeal, paving the way for Lindell’s case to continue.

Nichols wrote in the resolution that Dominion “properly alleged that Lindell made his claims knowing they were false or reckless of the truth” and therefore had grounds to sue for defamation.

Dominion also alleges that Lindell engaged in a defamatory marketing crusade opposed to the company in an effort to sell more pillows by telling the public to buy MyPillow after making his allegations of voter fraud and offering promotional codes similar to those theories.

Dominion and Smartmatic, who also sued Lindell, have sought damages from several Trump allies and right-wing news networks that have spread conspiracy theories about compromising corporate vote counting machines to gain Biden’s advantage.

In September, Lindell said FBI investigators seized his cellphone as a component of an alleged election security breach in Colorado.

Lindell said he was in the lane of a Hardee fast-food restaurant when officers surrounded him and grabbed his phone.
