American Sniper premiered on Netflix last year, and the 2014 film was temporarily trending on the British streaming site.
And with that, Chris Kyle’s life has gotten better again.
The film starring Bradley Cooper is loosely based on the memoirs of the American sniper, who struggled with the hardships he experienced and saw while traveling through Iraq.

Kyle is widely known as “the deadliest sniper in U. S. Army history” and was killed by Eddie Ray Routh in 2013.
And something other than “American Sniper” is known for the use of the “Punisher Skull” logo.
His SEAL Team-3 followed the logo in Iraq and is an unofficial symbol for those who served there.
As any Marvel fan knows, the skull logo comes from the MCU character of the same name, who was introduced in 1974 as a Spider-Man antihero. The Marvel character, whose real name is Frank Castle, is a sniper in the Italian-American Navy. who fought in Vietnam and bore the logo of a white skull.

After leaving the military in 2009, Kyle continued to play with the logo, wearing it on his iconic cap in interviews, and explained how it became his thing in his autobiography.
“We called ourselves Punishers,” the sniper wrote. He’s a real villain who corrects mistakes, brings ice to the vigilantes. A film of the same name had been released; The Punisher wore a blouse with a stylized white skull.
Kyle explained that “a communications manager did it before deployment. “
“We all know how great the Punisher did: he corrected the mistakes. He killed the bad guys. He made the unrighteous fearful. That’s what we were. So we adapted his symbol, a skull, and made it our own, with a few modifications. ” he wrote.
“We spray painted it on our Hummers and body armor, as well as on our helmets and all of our guns. And we spray paint it on any and all buildings or walls imaginable.

“We wanted other people to know that we’re here and that we need to them. “
Marvel ended up cutting off the Punisher’s skull in 2022 after a controversy and has increasingly used it through far-right movements.
After he was followed by the military, members of the U. S. police force were forced to flee the country. Some U. S. companies also began using it. And it was seen on law enforcement officials at Black Lives Matter protests after the death of George Floyd in 2020.
The author of the Punisher character, George Conway, told Forbes, “The Punisher is representative of the failure of law and order to deal with the considerations of other people who feel abandoned by the justice system.

“I found it stupid and ironic that members of the police adopted what is essentially an outlaw symbol. “
