A heat pump will be in bloody weather.
This led the owner to assume that the replacement occurred in the preparation of an installed heat pump to mimic the Model Y design. After all, electric cars represent a platform, so the replacement probably wouldn’t be too radical. Tesla is most likely preparing to implement the option, but has already sent engineering and design to production. Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.
The replacement also shows a narrower frown, now it’s deeper. Again, the small width suggests that Tesla needed area for anything else. Like a heat pump.
Why is a heat pump so important? Well, above all, it’s helping to create a more effective electric vehicle. Instead of the battery using its energy to create heat for the air conditioning system, a heat pump can simply take the heat as a by-product of other parts of the car and send it to the CVC system. This is especially useful for those driving electric cars in a bloody climate. Battery life is affected because the car’s battery works to supply power for many other things.
We’ll be on the lookout for any kind of official announcement, but it’s pretty transparent that the Model 3 is about to update the length of a heat pump.
