The Subaru Levorg STI prototype is now a car

No, that doesn’t mean I’m coming to America. I’m sorry, wagon fans.

Remember the futuristic prototype of Levorg STI Subaru unveiled at the previous Tokyo Motor Show this year? Well, it’s going into production and it doesn’t look like the corporate has replaced anything in terms of appearance. That’s one thing.

The Levorg 2021, detailed on Subaru’s Japanese website, looks exactly like it did when presented in Tokyo, with a new, sharper fascia and a muscular, sculpted body. The car is built on Subaru’s new global platform, which made its first appearance in the fifth-generation Impreza.

Each new version of Levorg, adding the STI, receives a 1.8-litre turbocharged boxer-4 with direct injection. According to Carscoops, the engine develops 174 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, sending thrust to all 4 wheels through a frequently variable transmission. Like the latest Levorg, it turns out that there is no manual transmission available.

Each new Levorg will be supplied with Subaru’s EyeSight protection generation series, while the STI variant also includes the electronically controlled adjustable surprise dampers in the prototype, plenty of internal sports innovations and five driving modes: Comfort, Normal, Sporty, Sporty and Individual.

Subaru announced plans to publish more key points on the new Levorg on October 15, 2020. Unfortunately, the company has not indicated that it plans to bring the car to the United States, which is not unexpected given our lack of car sales. Too much.
