Shortly after photographs of the next-generation Lancia Ypsilon surfaced on the internet following a thinly veiled prototype crash on a canal in France, two intriguing renderings have been released to give us a better look at the car that will necessarily revive the Lancia brand. Formation
The current Ypsilon has been in production since 2011, but has spent most of its career in Italy’s domestic market. The new generation of the Italian sedan (fortunately. . . ) will differ from its predecessors.

One of the most striking elements of the new Ypilson in these photographs is the front finish. Lancia recently unveiled the car’s revised front trim, revealing that it will feature an intriguing LED light bar arranged in a Y-shape. These LEDs are provided in those trims and make sure the car stands out from the Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa that it supplies its bases with.
The front end of the new-age Lancia also includes dark headlight clusters and doesn’t have a classic grille, opting instead for a giant black grille at the base of the front bumper.
Elsewhere, those finishes depict the car with glossy black wheel arches, black mirrors and a black roof. The overall shape of the car is also similar to that of the Peugeot 208 and features a particularly striking rear finish with very similar circular LED taillights. to those of the Pu Ra HPE concept that Lancia introduced earlier this year. Kolesa finishers also depict it with a prominent Lancia badge at the rear with a three-dimensional effect.
The new Lancia Ypsilon is expected to be sold exclusively with a 51 kWh battery that drives a single 154 hp electric motor, providing a range of around 400 km.
