Make it a strong but more unpleasant Ram Heavy Duty 2020. Simply put, this is the limited Black Edition package of the van.
Ram unveiled the new edition on Tuesday, which, in his own words, brings a “sophisticated and monochrome look set” to the Ram 2500HD or Ram 3500HD. Seen here, it’s the 3500HD and carries pretty good equipment.
The Ram HD Limited itself is quite new, however, the Limited Black Edition is meant to offer a look at buyers who are looking at the great platform. There aren’t many new things here. Instead, Ram adapts the van with black details for Ram’s badge letters, headlights, taillights, door handles and some other areas. The mixture creates the symbol that Ram intends to constitute here.
Opt for the one-wheel package and you’ll get giant 20-inch black-finished tires, of course. If double life is more your thing, 20-inch tires are replaced by 17-inch wheels, finished in black. Duh.
Buyers can also opt for 4×2 and 4×4 configurations and truck engine features are still available: a 6.4-liter V8, a 6.7-liter in-line six-cylinder Cumminsdiesel, or the same engine in its high-efficiency capability. Expect tow up to 35,100 pounds and bring up to 7,680 pounds in bed.
Ram plans to start shipping those platforms to distributors in the third quarter of this year, and before any option or destination fee, the Heavy Duty Limited Black Edition costs $62,745.
