The taxonomy of Porsche styles can be a little confusing, and for the 2021 style year, the Panamera is about to load new variants that update the old ones while they sound like the other versions. However, you can forget about that, because what it is about here is that there is more strength and a more popular device that everyone can get.
Porsche announced on Wednesday a series of adjustments for the upcoming Panamera 2021, which is expected to succeed at dealerships next spring. The Panamera Turbo (as its cousin relative circle Turbo Sport Turismo) is renamed Turbo S, so as not to be with the Turbo S E-Hybrid. The new Turbo S is based on a new edition of Porsche’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that, thanks to a series of new parts, now produces 620 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, compared to 550 and 567. (respectively) on the outgoing Turbo model. With release control, the Turbo S will achieve one hundred km/h in just 2.9 moments, a one-moment improvement over the Turbo. It also features Porsche’s most productive chassis technology, adding active protection rings, torque vectorization, rear axle guide and composite ceramic brakes.
It’s a sharp car, in this tone.
The other versions have also not escaped the settings. The Panamera GTS’s twin-engine V8 develops 20 horsepower for a new 473 horsepower and 457 pound-feet, with modifications made in particular to give the car a more atmospheric character. The Panamera’s unique 3.0-litre turbo V6 is also distinguished by a 2.9-liter 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 of 325 horsepower.
Finally, there is also a new plug-in hybrid variant. The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid combines an electric motor and a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 to produce 552 horsepower and 553 pound-feet, running to the lost Panamera Turbo. The batteries of all Panamera PHEV models were improved, which now total 17.9 kilowatt hours instead of previous 14.1 kWh models.
All Panamera models have obtained visual updates by 2021. The SportDesign front fairing is now popular throughout the range, with a new optional SportDesign package. Panamera GTS models have darker elements everywhere, while the Panamera Turbo S has an even more unpleasant front bumper with giant air intakes and an exclusive headlight signature. Inside, there is a new multifunction guide wheel, but it’s largely the same story as before. Technologically, all variants of the Panamera 2021 gain advantages from popular track maintenance assistance with the popularity of traffic signals.
If you’re wondering how much all those smart things will be charged and your brain hasn’t responded with the “Many” answer yet, you’ll have to wait a while to find out. Since those bad guys probably wouldn’t go on sale until early next year, Porsche doesn’t yet have valuable information, but for the context, the Panamera 2020 starts at $87,200 and goes up to $187700 for the Turbo S E-Hybrid.
