The Plaza Classic Film Festival publishes the calendar and the hybrid event

EL PASO, Texas – The 13th Annual El Paso Community Foundation Classic Film Festival is on tour and online. Due to the new coronavirus pandemic, Plaza Classic will be a hybrid festival, with 11 consecutive nights of pop-up drive-in videos in locations around the El Paso metro and five days of digitally transmitted videos on plazaclassic.com.

The Plaza Classic Film Festival On Tour takes place in six positions from July 30 to August 9. It opens on July 30 with The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine (the song’s version) at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, followed by two nights at El Paso Community College’s. Campus in Valle Verde, with Jaws’ The Kid and Charlie Chaplin on July 31, and Smokey and the Bandit and the Marx brothers’ duck soup on August 1. Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds is on display on August 2, followed until ET on August 3, either at Camp Cohen Water Park (formerly Cohen Stadium).

The tour continues with Jurassic Park on August 4th and Selena on August 5 at the El Paso County Coliseum; and two nights at Providence East Campus Hospitals, where Godzilla 1ninefive6, the king of monsters! On August 6, Young Frankenstein stores an invoice with Frankenstein on August 7. The tour concludes with PCFF’s twelfth annual screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, on a double assignment with Hedwig and Angry Inch on August 8, and Casablanca on August 9. at the new Hangar 7 Studios at El Paso International Airport (at the intersection of Airport Road and Leigh Fischer Boulevard). Feature films From Sunday to Thursday will be preceded by laurel short films and Hardy, Shorts Three Stooges or Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons.

Entry starts at 7:30 p.m. Programs start at 8:30 p.m. Parking will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Employees dressed in masks will park cars (cars, vans, vans and SUVs only). The sound will be transmitted via a low power FM radio. The frequency will be announced on the screen during the show.

Entry costs $25 depending on the vehicle for all screens, which adds dual features. Early tickets are on sale on plazaclassic.com/schedule. Contactless tickets will be available on all sites if the display is not sold out.

The Community Foundation needs to do something positive for the community, but somehow. Social distance measures shall apply. Vehicles will be spaced according to a chessboard pattern. Customers are strongly advised to remain in their vehicles. They are invited to bring their own food and drink; concessions will not be made in maximum places. Portable washbasins will be available in all locations.

The Plaza Classic Film Festival Online takes place from August 5 to 9 in plazaclassic.com. It will feature digitally transmitted programs, adding Flavor’s local showcase, documentaries, independent feature films and an exclusive projection of Amadeus, with a special appearance through Oscar winner and El Paso F.
