A building destroyed in a fire in Fort Worth early Wednesday was once the site of Opal Lee’s Juneteenth Museum.
Fort Worth chimney crews responded to Block 1100 on Evans Avenue around 1:15 a. m. , the branch said, and found the wood-framed rental construction on the fireplace. Two constructions in either design also clogged the chimney.
After about an hour, the fireplace was out in all 3 places, the branch said.
Fire branch spokesman Craig Trojacek showed one user had been treated for smoke inhalation and said no other injuries were reported. The investigation is for the reasons for the fire.
Just after 1:15 a. m. , the #FWFD responded to a reported structural fire at Evans Ave Block 1100 in southern #fortworth. Upon arrival, the teams saw a one-story wooden structure residential design completely affected by the flames. [1/4] pic. twitter. com/OoSuMKTUa9
