Auto123.com reports that the next generation of Lexus NX will probably get a PHEV version.
When automakers sign vehicle names with IP offices, it is sensible to take at least some of those instances with a grain of salt. The latest maximum case that has been exposed deserves to be taken seriously.
The logo application was made in Europe, the luxury Toyota Lexus logo recorded two calls: the NX 350h and the NX 450h. In the first case, the call obviously refers to the existing hybrid edition of the style in the past known as 300h. In this case, the use of the “plus” signal indicates an edition that will give us more in terms of hybridization, in particular an electric autonomy.
There are other elements that make it easy to draw some conclusions. The NX will be completely new by 2021 and, as there is recently a plug-in hybrid SUV in the Toyota family, it is logical to conclude that we will have a derivative of the Toyota RAV4 Prime, which is highly anticipated next fall.

For Lexus, it will be the first plug-in hybrid in its history.
The configuration of the PHEV would take the form of a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine and two electric units, front and rear, to provide all-wheel drive. If this happens, we can expect a Lexus NX 450h to offer an electrical diversity to that of the RAV4 Prime, about 62 km. The same goes for the total strength of 302 hp and an acceleration time of 0 to one hundred km/h less than 6 seconds.
While all of this remains speculative, it is consistent with previous comments made through Lexus executives. They have already confirmed, for example, that their first plug-in hybrid vehicle will be introduced in the early 2020s.
The names NX 250 and NX 350 would also be registered in the United States, suggesting that the NX 250 and NX 350 will be stronger than the outgoing style proposed here, the NX three hundred. Note that the 2020 edition must be taken in two configurations: NX three hundred and NX three hundredh.
Moreover, we can expect a new and more spacious NX with the latest advances in security and technology. It remains to be noted whether this plug-in hybrid variant will make the leap to our market. Chances are we’ve noticed some weirder decisions in the car world.
Stay tuned.
